Watch the big reveal of the latest Community Food Box at Neidhammer Coffee, located on 21st and E. Washington St. Not only is this Community Food Box No. 84, but it was designed by local art-ivist and future exoneree Vernon T. Bateman.
With Bateman’s Food Box, which includes a library and food pantry, his first children’s book, Mommy I Want 2 Fly, comes to life.
Feeding Mind and Body, Fighting Food Apartheid and Wrongful Incarceration
The collaboration between Cultivate (the sponsor of Community Food Box Project) and Vernon T. Bateman is another example of how building unity across struggles brings us all closer to justice.
Be sure to help keep it stocked, remember it when you need books or food and support Vernon, Cultivate, and the Center that helped facilitate this partnership!
